Reflecting Life 2012

I cannot believe that in just 9 days we welcome the year 2013. Where did 2012 go? What did I do in 2012 that I will always remember? In fact there are a couple of things that took place in 2012 that I will always remember. We purchased our first Jeep together. In 2012 my husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. We thought that the year of the wedding went by fast, our wedding day went by even faster, and the year leading to our 1 year anniversary was up before we knew it. Year after year I talk about finding a new job. I actively look and go on job interviews however have never found a way to leave my job as a 911 dispatcher. I'm not sure if it's a celebration or just a blessing to be at my job for 4 years in 2012. In the beginning of 2012 we were actively trying to conceive a child of our own. We may have not conceived our child, but we did ovulate for the first time! 

The entire year of 2012 was our year to dedicate to conceiving our own child, however middle of the year we took another turn in our lives and started looking for a home to bring our future baby to. Hitting rough patches through the house buying experience, we did not purchase a home. Month after month of no new home no new apartment I began to lose hope that we would find a new home before the new year. Thanks to my wonderful friend Amanda, beginning of December Erik and I moved into a 2 story 2 bedroom half a home♥ We welcomed a miniature dauchshund into our lives, and we named him Wade. At first Wade was a sneaky little thing that we thought we may have had to get rid of him. When we brought him to the new home he has done a complete 360, and is the most wonderful smart dog in the world!  

I enrolled back into school. Taking two different programs at once, Cardiology Technician and Women's Health Counselor. It's a bit of a task trying to juggle school, work, side work and home but it gets done. 2012 was filled with a lot of "First Times" for my husband and I. We went camping for the first time. This is now a hobby for us that we enjoy and look forward to. We are starting up our own camping gear collection for next year. My husband and I also tried White Castle and Cinnabons for the first time.

2012 was filled with a lot of fun memories, but 2012 was also filled with a moment of loss and grieving. I experienced my first loss that broke my heart. With broken hearts and tears in our eyes, we laid my Titi Mari to rest♥ We came together as a family to honor her life, and remember the good times we had with her. Reflecting back on 2012, I will remember each and everything I mentioned for the rest of my life.
